At Maudsley Opticians, we are proud to provide a free low vision service as part of the Salford Low Vision Scheme, funded by the NHS. This service is designed to support individuals with reduced vision that cannot be fully corrected with glasses or contact lenses, helping them make the most of their remaining sight.
What Does the Low Vision Service Include?

✔ Ongoing Care – If your vision changes, we can reassess and adjust your aids to ensure you continue receiving the best support.
Who Can Access the Free Low Vision Service?
This NHS service is completely free of charge for patients registered with a Salford GP. If you have been struggling with vision loss that glasses or contact lenses cannot fully correct, you may be eligible for support.
